Ability: Beginner / Intermediate

Terrain: Off-road

Description: This will be a 10 mile fun, social ride and will get you in a great mood for the weekend ahead. It will be led by two experienced riders, Steve and Andrea, both of whom are shop staff with years of riding experience and excellent local area knowledge.

What to bring: A helmet, a spare tube, plenty to drink and, of course, your bike.

Tuesday 30 January | Maintenance Evening - Hit the brakes!

Time: 6:30 pm - 8 pm

Ability: Beginner / Intermediate

Prior Knowledge Needed: Minimal

Description: Your brakes provide all the stopping power on your bike and it's important to keep them in good check! During this bike maintenance evening, we will show you the basics of brake care. We will show you how to check the condition of your brake pads, how to replace your pads, how to bleed the hydraulics, how to replace and set up a cable, how to check the rotor for wear and how to adjust your brakes.

Description: Your gears allow a comfortable pedalling speed regardless of terrain and keeping them in good check is an important part of riding comfort and enjoyment! During this bike maintenance evening, we will show you the basics of gear care. We will show you how to check the condition of your chain, how to check the condition of your chain rings, how to check the condition of your pulley wheel, how to fit a chain and cassette, how to replace a cable and how to adjust your gears.
